Steve Toussaint portrays Corlys Velaryon. He is the main character in “House of the Dragon.” He is undoubtedly the most famous member of his family. The Velaryons are from the Valyrian Freehold and arrived in Westeros well before the Doom. They are masters of the sea, even though they aren’t Dragonriders. Corlys, also known as The Sea Snake, is the most powerful of them all.

Episode 8 of House of the Dragon, titled “The Lord of the Tides,” reveals that Corlys was injured during the conflict in the Stepstones. He is now fighting for his life due to the blood fever.

Corlys didn’t die from the illness. Corlys was well by 129 AC, which is the year that the civil war began between the Targaryen factions. Corlys is the only character to survive the civil conflict in the book. At the age of 79, he died in 132 AC.
