“Luckiest Girl Alive” was shot in Ontario and New York, in particular in Toronto. Cobourg, Whitby and Suffolk County. According to reports, principal photography began in June 2021 and was completed in August of that year. The story was set in New York City, but most shootings occurred in Ontario. Toronto, Ontario
Toronto, Ontario’s capital city, was the location for many of the key scenes in ‘Luckiest Girl Alive. The film made many parts of Toronto’s downtown into Manhattan, including Richmond Street and University Avenue. The film was shot at Rosedale United Church, 159 Roxborough Drive, and Indigo-Bay and Bloor, 55 Bloor Street West. The filming crew also used the premises of a Vancouver restaurant for filming purposes.
Cobourg, Ontario
Many parts of “Luckiest Girl Alive” were taped in Cobourg in Ontario, which is east of Toronto. According to reports, the filming location was one of the local private properties. During the filming schedule, the cast and crew were seen filming important scenes at Brookside Youth Centre (390 King Street East) and Cobourg Collegiate Institute (335 King Street East). In a few scenes of the film, Willmott Street is also visible.
Whitby, Ontario
Whitby is a small town in Southern Ontario’s Durham Region. According to reports, the filming crew used the area of Trafalgar Castle School (401 Reynolds Street) and Iroquois Park Sports Centre (500 Victoria Street West) for several scenes.

The story is set in New York City. It makes sense that some exterior scenes were shot on location. The crew traveled across New York City to film different locations against backdrops, such as Fifth Avenue, Bryant Park, and the Rockefeller Center at 45 Rockefeller Plaza.
Suffolk County, New York
The “Luckiest Girl Alive” filming unit stopped in Suffolk County in the latter stages of production. They were seen filming key sequences in August 2021 at North Ferry Terminal, Shelter Island Heights’ private parking lot. This was Nantucket Island. A Greenport Village property at Moores Lane in North Fork was also used as a production location.
