After her retirement, she returned to academia and taught criminal justice courses. She holds an M.F.A. in Writing and an M.S.M.S. She is a specialist in Criminal Justice Administration.

She was also a member of the Missouri Department of Corrections Citizens Advisory Board: Probation and Parole Division. In 2018, after Kenny’s arrest in Victoria, Frizzell set out on a journey to find him. She also documented her journey via social media. She traveled all the way from Canada to Germany to find Kenny, who was last seen in public.

Although it was not an easy task, she finally found Kenny in Frankfurt after searching the streets for his photo. Frizzell keeps updating Facebook about Kenny’s status. She also said that she was trying to get Kenny’s conservatorship while he was in a German prison. Her family is everything to Frizzell and justice.
