The Audience gave the vow a rating of 3.7/5 (summary), a 7.1/10 IMDb and a 3/5 Common Sense Media. Rotten Tomatoes awarded it a 72% rating. Multiple reviews praised the speed and detail while criticizing the storytelling style and the irrational focal point.

The official crew of The Vow has not yet revealed or hinted at Season 3.
The series’ first season was released on August 23, 2020. It was well received by critics, despite some criticisms from the Audience. The second season was then renewed and will be released on October 17, 2022. A third season will be added if the second season does not conclude. However, this seems unlikely.

The first season’s story revolves around Keith Raniere and his self-improvement group N.X.I.V.M. This is where Raniere manipulates innocent people and forces them to fall for her illegal conspiracy rackets like sex trading and other illegal activities. The scenes that Frank Parlato, a journalist, has been working to help victims and expose the illegal activities of N.X.I.V.M. include scenes with Sarah Edmondson and Mark Vicente, Bonnie Piesse and Susan Dones. Keith Rainere, the leader of N.X.I.V.M., was captured in the first part.
The series’s second season, which will air on October 17, 2022, will likely focus on what happens to Keith Rainere. It would focus on the incident surrounding her trial and questioning. This would also highlight the extent of this network of trafficking and the ease with which it is possible for the vast majority of people to fall prey to their manipulation. The taped sentencing of Clare Bronfman, who was the leader of N.X.I.V.M. (and a real-life colleague of Keith Rainere), was used for the second season.
