The Grand Tour trio has returned. The trio of The Grand Tour is back after releasing the Carnage A Trois Special last year. They’re heading to Norway to navigate “Europe’s last great wilderness.”
With the Amazon Prime Video streaming service announcing a September 16 release date, fans won’t need to wait. The Grand Tour Season 5 trailer is available above.
The new series, A Scandi Flick, is named after the driving technique. The show will focus on the cold climate, and a lot of it will revolve around snow rally racing.
Hammond will be driving a Subaru Impreza WRX, while James May will pilot a Mitsubishi Evo VIII. Clarkson will travel in an Audi RS4 B7 to the delight of his partners.

The Grand Tour Season 5 Trailer
Jeremy, Richard, and James set out for the icy Arctic Circle in the first episode 5 of their post-pandemic road trip. The boys take control of their favorite rally cars and embark on a disaster-filled adventure. They visit Cold War submarine bases, crash into frozen lakes, and drag their homes from Norway to the Russian Border.
The trailer features a lot of action and classic jokes by the boys. It wasn’t all laughter on set. The Sun reported that May crashed his Subaru into a wall at 75 mph (120 km/h) in a scene in which the men race down a tunnel on an old Cold War submarine base. May sustained a broken rib, neck pain, and bloody head. He was taken to the hospital by emergency personnel for a brain scan. Clarkson and Hammond continued filming without May, but May was allowed to return to work shortly thereafter.
James May, RadioTimes.com, teased a Grand Tour Arctic Circle special that was “more serious.” He said: “I can’t give away too much, but the next one will be interesting because it is actually quite heavy with cars. It has three very interesting cars and quite a bit of stuff. It is a car show, and I don’t mean to be a deterrent.
