29. September: Osage County (2013)
The play is based on one written by Tracy Letts, August: Osage County features a stacked ensemble which features Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Ewan McGregor, Benedict Cumberbatch, Margo Martindale and Chris Cooper, among others. We’re not sure if it’s a joyful family reunion (or especially one on Thanksgiving, although there’s a huge dinner and the table scene). However, there are plenty of acting skills displayed.
30. You’ve Gotta Get It (1986)
If you think your guests for Thanksgiving shared uneasy histories In Spike Lee’s Gotta Have It, in which a Brooklyn artist is dating three guys at the same time and invites them all to join her to a big dinner. Netflix also offers a newer show inspired by the film.
