The Inventing of Anna on Netflix will tell the amazing true story of a convicted criminal, Anna Sorokin (played by Julia Garner). In the role of Anna Delvey, Sorokin was capable of convincing the social elite of New York as well as banks and businesses that she was a German sheiress who had a trust fund of 60 million dollars and to fraud the bank of a hefty sum of money.

The Netflix series is heavily based on Jessica Pressler’s 2017 New York magazine article “How Anna Delvey Fooled New York’s Party People,” There’s not a mention made about Talia Mallay or an art dealer.
