Directed by Julian McMahon, Jesse “Jess” LaCroix plays the lead character of the first three seasons of ‘FBI: wanted.’ Jesse has years of experience in the field and is an excellent leader, often called”the “agent’s agent.”
As an agent supervisory of the Fugitive Task Force of the FBI, he manages his team from the front when they take on some of the criminals with high risk in the United States. Jess’s father was abusive, and their relationship has remained tense to this day. On the other hand, he’s close to his parents. Jess is married to Angelyne Skye LaCroix, a US Army intelligence officer who died before the show’s debut. He has a daughter named Tali.

It’s true. Jess dies in “FBI: Most Wanted.’ The episode takes place in season 3 , episode 14, which is appropriately entitled “Shattered. In the episode, Jess looks for an abusive man and his lover. After he locates his girlfriend, Jess tries to protect her from the boyfriend and is wounded in the neck during the fight. His friends Sheryll Barnes (Roxy Sternberg) and Keisha Castle-Hughes (Hana Gibson) are with him as he passes away.

Sheryll, as well as Hana, are the two who are later notified by Jess, the girlfriend of Jess Sarah (Jen London), and his father about what transpired. The episode begins earlier. We see Sarah and Jess taking a trip together. Sarah and Jess’ father go to Tali’s school for boarding to tell Tali the news. The entire scene is off-screen.

Indeed, Julian McMahon left ‘FBI: Most Wanted.’ In January 2022, McMahon announced that he would leave the show to pursue other possibilities for his creativity. “Over the last couple of months, the producers of “FBI Most Wanted” and I have been discussing my decision to leave the show to pursue new creative ventures and the transition of my character, Jess LaCroix,” McMahon told Variety. “These ongoing discussions have allowed us to plan an efficient and seamless method for me to exit the show. I’d like to convey my gratitude and appreciation for the experience I’ve received from having the privilege of working together with Dick Wolf and Peter Jankowski. I’m very satisfied with the work we’ve put in together, and I have placed the growth of the show, as well as my character Jess is, at the highest of my professional list. The show and the cast and crew all the best success in the coming years. I am very grateful for the chance to portray Jess, and he’s the perfect man.”
The show’s finale was announced in March of 2022. showrunner and Executive Producer David Hudgins told TV Insider that, for McMahon’s departure, they needed to come up with a solution that could be respectful to the show’s original concept as well as add, “We thought it was emotionally charged, something that was shocking and dramatic but, in a way, it was also a good thing. Jess gets out to save the life of the lady we’re trying to save. However, it’s also kind of recognition of ongoing risk for those working in this field.”

If McMahon had any suggestions for his departure, Hudgins stated that the actor of ‘Nip/Tuck’ was satisfied with letting the screenwriters manage the situation. After his departure from the show “FBI: Most Wanted,” there has been speculation that McMahon is scheduled to appear in screenwriter David Ludlow’s next project, ‘Justice.’
