Hottest Movies On HBO Max
Here’s a list of the most sexually-oriented movies on HBO Max.
1. Beach Rats (2017)
Eliza Hittman’s Sundance-winning sophomore feature is an evocative, haunting character study about a Brooklyn teen who struggles with his sexual identity. Beach Rats is full of candid nudity. Hittman makes the most out of Dickinson’s extraordinary physique.
2. Magic MikeXXL (2014)
The sequel is as strong and well-oiled, if not more so than the original. Mike joins his fellow strippers three years after his retirement for Myrtle Beach’s third annual convention. XXLadds Jada Pinterest Smith, which like its predecessor, was a commercial success.

3. A God-Made Woman (1956)
Roger Vadim’s erotic tale about a sexually-liberated orphan was not the first movie to feature her. Still, it is the one that made her a household icon, a “sex kitten” in the defining film of the time. And God Made Woman, which didn’t contain explicit nudity (which was banned at the time), was controversial enough to have law enforcement crash some stateside screenings. Despite mixed reviews, The Forbidden Fruit was a box office smash.
4. Gia (1998)
HBO’s highly acclaimed biopic stars Angelina Jolie as American Supermodel Gia Carangi. She was a her*in addict and tragically died at the age of 26. Gia costars Faye Dunaway, and Mila Kunis appears, playing Carangi at age 11.

5. Nightmare Alley (211)
Guillermo del Toro can create the most beautiful and bloody pure film noir ever made. It’s a bit of a tragedy that Bradley Cooper hasn’t won an Academy Award yet. However, it’s likely that he’ll receive another Best Actor nomination here for his work as a master manipulator with a sultry psychologist ( Cate Blanchett). Nightmare Alley has a dark and pulpy tone that doesn’t intend to be transcended by its genre. It’s probably a strength.
6. Behind Candelabra (2013)
Soderbergh’s glossy-yet–gritty, delightfully soapy biopic about Liberace (Michael Douglas) & Scott Thurston (Matt Damon) was a huge success for HBO. The film won 11 Emmys and two Golden Globes in addition to wide critical acclaim. It premiered at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, where it was competing for the Palme d’Or.

7. Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! (1989)
Pedro Almodovar’s unique blend of romantic comedy and horror movies was so controversial that it went to court. Miramax sued MPAA over Tie Me Up! With an X rating, which is generally reserved for p*rn. Tie Me Up! Released unrated, it still grossed a significant sum for a foreign film. One year later, the NC-17 rating was introduced.
8. The Movie (2016)
Andrew Haigh’s thoughtful, subtle and insightful look at three gay best friends in the Bay Area was only a few seasons away from being canceled. HBO approved a 2-hour special to tie up loose ends. Looking still has a dedicated fanbase. Perhaps one day, we’ll have an HBO Max revival. Such a thing seems more possible than ever in light of the recently-announced Sex and the City revival series.

9. Basic Instinct 2 Risk Addiction (2006)
Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas were the stars in Paul Verhoeven’s 1992 chiller about an ogre who falls for a deadly bombshell. Stone became a household name with the original, which grossed nearly $700,000,000 today. While the sequel has been delayed for years, it is a sleazy, low-IQ sequel that can be a nudity-filled, violent, and thimble-brained good time if you are in the right spirit.
