Hocus Pocus 3 isn’t officially confirmed by Disney However if the success is anything to go by, and the success of Hocus Pocus 2 is something to be taken by, it’s likely to occur.
The release date was September 30th. The sequel was the most watched movie premiere to air on Disney+ in the US ever. This success was solely based on the first three days of its release, and it’s Halloween, and there is no doubt that it’s going to be able to attract a new set of fans over the coming weekend.
Although the conclusion in Hocus Pocus 2 seems pretty definitive, there’s also an opening scene in the credits that opens the way for another possible return for the Sanderson sisters. Hocus Pocus 3 potential release date: When will Hocus Pocus 3 be released?
As we mentioned earlier, Hocus Pocus 3 is still to be formally confirmed by Disney. Therefore, there is no official date for release yet for the sequel.
We’d prefer not to be waiting for another 29 years to see another film, so if this sequel succeeds, Disney might want to accelerate the release of a sequel featuring The Sanderson sisters.
Even if it does happen, however, we’re not sure you’ll be seeing the third film before Halloween 2024 – this is even assuming it’s confirmed. Keep an eye on this page, and we’ll update you when we learn more.
Hocus Pocus 3 cast: Who is returning to the show for Hocus Pocus 3?
According to the sequel’s star Whitney Peak: “They can always return. It’s hard to make a third movie that didn’t include the Sanderson Sisters because it’s their film. They’re Hocus Pocus. It’s difficult to imagine what an experience would be without them.” (via EW.)
But, even though Najimy has stated that they’ll never repeat either, she stated that the three stalwarts were feeling as though they’d completed their characters: “I feel like we’re finished. We’ve collected every story you could find from this. It’s true that you should never know. However, I am grateful for the opportunity to repeat the feat. I’m not sure if there is a plan for another one.”
There’s the possibility of another animated film that Parker said was the idea of Najimy. However, at minimum, there is a Sanderson sister who is ready to make another appearance as Witch: Bette Midler.
Midler disclosed she was “If it was the third possibility, I’d join, but I’m not sure what it would be like. I’m not sure what the story might be, but I am a fan of Winifred, Sarah, Mary, and our friendship. It’s a good thing for women.
“We remain together throughout the mud and through high waters, yet we also cause trouble, but there aren’t many women who are able to cause as much chaos!”
Doug Jones’ Billy Butcher probably won’t be returning since he, too, was a ghost at the time Winnie went missing at the film’s conclusion – her curse finally ended.
Suppose there are no other deaths or deaths. In that case, any of the characters from Hocus Pocus 2 may return, including Whitney Peak in the role of Becca, Belissa Escobedo as Izzy, Lilia Buckingham as Cassie, Sam Richardson, Tony Hale, and others.

The trio of young men who will be the protagonists in the sequel is certainly eager to return. “If there’s another, I’d like for that one of us to be affected through the influence of. I’m sure it will become Cassie,” Buckingham told EW.
The most exciting thing is that the OG actors who were not present in Hocus Pocus 2 have confirmed to the magazine they’re interested in being part of a third film. Jason Marsden, who voiced Binx, the cat, has said the actor would “absolutely” be in the threequel.
Vanessa Shaw, who played Allison, also wanted to come back. She said: “Yeah, it’s a really enjoyable story, and clearly being able to reminisce on this is a lot of enjoyable. The love for the show is growing.”
Omri Katz, played Max Omri Katz, played Max, “I’d be 100 100% ready to play it.” However, taking into consideration how the OG witches are getting more mature, he stated, “[W]e’ve to finish this earlier rather than later. We shouldn’t have to wait for another 30 years. We’re sorry, but it’s the truth! I’m certain Bette isn’t going to be in this position when she’s 98.”
Shaw However, she disagreed and stated: “She has the best time. I’m sure she will. The scruffier, the more interesting!” What will be the case? It’s only time to find out…
Hocus Pocus 3 plot: What is the way Hocus Pocus 2 is set up for a third film?
The sequel revives the Sisters because Becca lights her Black Flame candles in the forest and her close friend Izzy.
Although the candle was destroyed by the end of the film after the credits, the scene post-credits reveals the existence of a second candle. We can see Gilbert’s (Richardson) cat scurrying through the shop before resting before a box with the tag “BF #2 candle,” which suggests that a second candle exists.
The twist in this tale is the Sanderson sisters come to their fate not through falling prey to the curse that causes them to disappear at dawn on November 1st. In fact, Mary and Sarah are victims of the same curse that Winnie creates to grant her complete power.
Winnie is in need of Becca, who is a new witch, for a magic spell that will reconnect them. However, instead of returning Mary as well as Sarah back instead, it is sending Winnie off to wherever they are, likely some sort of afterlife.
The possibility that a second Black Flame candle can call them back from their afterlife is to be determined. However, it is certain that it will lessen the dramatic effect of the sequel. We have to believe that when a third film is approved, it will follow a completely different direction.
“It’s an open-ended film. There’s a lot that could happen in the next scene. Both extremes are also possible,” Peak told EW. If there’s a sequel to the film, we might become our coven but much older. However, the Sanderson Sisters might return, and we’d need to take on their sexy side again.
