The story is set in the 1990s ‘ City on a Hill is a Showtime criminal-drama program that explores the various aspects that comprise Boston before the new millennium starts. The plot is focused on two characters. John “Jackie” Rohr (Kevin Bacon) begins as a corrupt FBI official but is eventually ordered to leave his position. DeCourcy Ward (Aldis Hodge) is an assistant district attorney who is facing issues because the system is totally corrupted. Through this drama, the two characters make an unlikely alliance to pursue people they consider morally wrong.
In episode 5 of season 3, “Take Me Home” from season 3, episode 5.’ Jackie continues his investigation and learns that Letitia discovers the truth that he is being harmed and warns him. Jen struggles with the thought of apology for her father’s abuse. While Siobhan is dealing with her involvement in the Big Dig case and her previous trauma comes to the forefront, it comes to the forefront. City on a Hill Season 3 Episode 5 Recap
When the show begins, Chris takes a trip to visit Tony Suferin in jail after receiving a call from his lawyer. Suferin confesses that the information he has is about who was responsible for the deaths of the officers Andrews and Officer Dunleavy. If Chris is under investigation for the murder of the latter, Ward is prosecuting an apparently innocent man in the murder of the first. Chris is later able to speak with Guy, Dan, and Ward in hopes of getting a couple of years cut off from Suferin’s prison sentence so that they can reveal the identities of the actual perpetrators. Ward is completely opposed to having the sentence of Suferin reduced. But Chris is desperate. He informs his assistant district attorney he’ll contact Shimizu to make the demand.

While they are at it, Jen and Doyle meet at the home of Doyle to discuss the matter together with Doyle’s father. Doyle claims that he talked to her father and agreed to let the charges go in exchange for Jen apologizing. Jackie says that her husband will never repeat the same thing. Even though Jen is furious with Jackie because she didn’t speak out and she’s not willing to apologize. In the next moment, Jackie hits Doyle’s bicycle by driving his vehicle, causing the other man to slide. When he gets to work, he finds out that Letitia is aware of his investigation. Yet, he refuses to stop and continues to gather information against his employer.
When she is conscious of the trauma, Siobhan’s brother-in-law of Siobhan suggests that she should seriously consider seeking therapy. In the meantime, her adversaries in her Big Dig case are launching a defamatory campaign against Siobhan.
City on a Hill Season 3 Episode 5 The Reasons Ward Accept to Help Jackie in The Sinclair Dryden Case?
There’s a monologue on the episode which perfectly captures Jackie Rohr as a character. He understands exactly what Sinclair is, but he still works for the company because it financially offers the family stability. It is interesting to note that he has delivered the monologue to his old friend, who has the distinction of being his cocaine dealer. In a way, he reminds Jackie of their shared childhood passion for superheroes. The friend says, “Having choices makes a human. Choosing to stop Lex Luthor, that’s what makes a superhero.”
Inspired by the words of these men, Jackie reaches out to Ward to discuss the matter, but Ward immediately insists that he does not want anything to deal with the matter. Ward has been a victim of Jackie earlier in his life and doesn’t want to see history repeat its mistakes. However, after the show, Ward tells Jackie he’ll be there for her. Sinclair is the optimization of the corruption that exists in the City. In pursuing Sinclair, Ward seeks to prove that no one is exempt from the law.

Who Shot Rick Dunleavy?
Rick Dunleavy was a corrupt police officer in the TV show ‘City On a Hill. He was killed in episode 3 of season 3. When Shimizu cannot grant Suferin an eminent sentence, Ward and Chris approach Gary Plunkett, who has been identified as the murderer of officer Andrews by an ex-drug dealer and his companion.
Afraid of being arrested and possibly convicted, Plunkett cracks under pressure and confesses that he and his accomplice were operating an illegal drug business. Andrews, Dunleavy, and Suferin were aware of it and attempted to earn money through it. Plunkett’s partner was responsible for the murders of Andrews and Dunleavy and may have killed Suferin had he not been in prison. Whitaker, the person originally accused of murdering Andrews, was later released, and Chris was found not guilty.
